Was skeptical at first

The fabric feels good and comfortable the moment I wear it. With the price that’s so similar to SRC I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go even though SRC is a much reputable brand. No regrets.

Best compression tights ever!

I bought these 2 weeks postpartum after wearing SRC tights since delivery. I developed a blot clot during the birth and needcompression tights. The TheRY are so much better than the SRC tights. The TheRY tights are the best rights ever! They are like a second skin that you forget you are wearing. They are also super easy to get into with the zips. I recommend them to everyone, the support is amazing!

I bought the Restorer Postpartum Compression Support Leggings for extra support following my c-section. The waistband does not sit uncomfortably or place any pressure on the wound site. The bilateral pockets and zips at the ankles are convenient. The quality is great and does not feel like it will perish easily. Although expensive, these leggings have been well worth the money and I would buy again.

Pregnancy and childbirth can take a significant toll on the body. Your body has gone through incredible transformation and it’s no wonder that your body requires time and support to recover.

Many new mums encounter diastasis recti, commonly recognised as abdominal separation. This condition can result in a postpartum bulge that is not from eating too much while pregnant. Your abdominal muscles have been stretched to make room for your baby to grow and our targeted compression helps support you as the muscles gradually realign themselves.

If your baby was delivered by C-section, you're healing from a major surgical procedure. Recovery takes time. You may find it harder to move and experience soreness -  tasks like bending over, lifting your baby or changing nappies, can be more difficult. These postpartum leggings have been designed to provide the necessary support as you recover and has been designed with seams to avoid the C-section.

Additionally, these leggings have been designed with ankle zips. This is incredibly helpful, when putting on and taking off the leggings especially if you are also experiencing 'mother's wrist' or any hand discomfort.

Postpartum, increased fluid retention can result in swelling or puffiness in your legs, hands or even face. During the postpartum period you may have reduced mobility - whether spending more time seated while nursing or cuddling your baby, staying in the hospital or bed while you recover —all of which can lead to decreased circulation and swollen feet, and can increase the risk of dvt. The restorer postpartum leggings have been engineered with graduated compression to help increase circulation and relieve tired swollen feet.

KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Compression panels specifically designed to support for abdominal separation.
  • Support for C-section recovery.
  • Graduated compression (15-20 mmHg) through the legs to enhance circulation and help reduce fluid retention, and alleviate postpartum swelling in the feet and legs.
  • Assessed and listed by the Therapeutic Goods Association (TGA).
  • Ankle zips to put on and take off with ease.
  • Large pockets to store all the essentials, including your phone, keys, burp cloths or even a baby bottle.
  • Premium fabric for all-day comfort and durability.
EXTRA Stats you need to know

  • About 60% of women will have problems with abdominal separation (Diastasis recti) following birth.  During pregnancy your stomach muscles can weaken and separate as your belly grows.
  • Some recover within 6 weeks of the postnatal period, 45% within 6 months, and about 30% may still have issues still 12 months after birth.
  • About 30% of babies are delivered by C-section. Recovery can be 4-6 weeks after surgery, but 60% of women can still experience pain some 24 weeks after. Following C-section surgery the abdominal muscles are even further weakened and in need of support.
  • Postpartum fluid retention is still common, even months after birth. The extra fluid volume that occurred during pregnancy and in preparation for birth, can still exist within the tissues in the body.
  • Women who have been induced will also have fluids introduced via the hormone and saline drips that are absorbed into the body. The excess fluids in the body result in swelling & puffiness.
  • The additional fluid can be excreted through your sweat and urine. Movement and improving blood flow and circulation is also important to assist the removal of waste fluids. TheRY leggings and socks with 15-20mmHg compression can help improve circulation to facilitate this process.
  • In the first 6 weeks following birth you are 3-5X more likely to develop blood clots. This is also due to the extra time recovering or sitting nursing your baby when movement is restricted.

Frequently asked

Are these suitable for wear after a C-Section?

Absolutely! The Restorer Postnatal Support Legging has been designed to provide support following any type of pregnancy. The seams have been strategically placed to avoid the c-section scar, soft compression fabrics make up the belly panel rather than a mesh to ensure they are suitable for sensitive and/or irritated skin, and the ankle zips make them much easier to put on and take off.

How soon after giving birth is it suitable for me to wear compression leggings?

The timeline for wearing compression leggings can depend on several factors, including the type of delivery you had, any complications you experienced, and your overall health.

In some cases, healthcare providers may recommend wearing compression garments immediately after delivery or wait, especially if you had a cesarean section or experienced significant swelling or fluid retention. These garments can help improve blood circulation, reduce swelling, and provide support to the abdominal and pelvic areas.

However, it's important to note that every individual's postpartum recovery is unique, and your healthcare provider is the best person to advise you on the appropriate timing for wearing compression leggings. They will consider your specific circumstances and evaluate when it is safe and suitable for you to start using them.

What health benefits do compression leggings provide postpartum?

Graduated compression leggings can provide several benefits during the postpartum period:

Improved circulation: Compression leggings apply gentle pressure to the legs, which can help improve blood circulation. This can be particularly beneficial if you experienced swelling or fluid retention during pregnancy or after delivery.

Reduced swelling: Many women experience swelling in their legs, ankles, and feet after giving birth. Compression leggings can help minimize this swelling by aiding fluid movement and preventing the buildup of excess fluid in the lower extremities.

Support for abdominal muscles: The abdominal muscles undergo significant stretching and strain during pregnancy. Compression leggings can offer gentle support to the abdominal area, promoting muscle recovery and helping to alleviate discomfort.

Enhanced muscle recovery: Postpartum compression leggings can provide mild compression to the muscles, helping to reduce muscle soreness and promote faster recovery after childbirth.

Increased comfort and confidence: Wearing compression leggings can provide a sense of support and stability, which can be particularly helpful during the postpartum period when your body is undergoing physical changes. They can also help to hold you in and make you feel more comfortable and confident in your post-baby body.

What is the difference between the Pregnancy and Postpartum leggings? Can I just buy one for both?

While you can wear the pregnancy leggings (Saviour Maternity Legging) postpartum, you won't receive the specific recovery benefits for your abdominal muscles that are featured in the postpartum leggings (Restorer Postpartum Support Legging).

Conversely, we do not recommend wearing the postpartum leggings during pregnancy as there is no room for your belly to grow and they feature moderate targeted compression panels to help support your abdominal recovery that could potentially be detrimental to your growing baby.

We recommend purchasing both pairs to experience the full range of benefits throughout your pregnancy and postpartum journey. Each pair is designed to provide optimal comfort, support, and recovery at the appropriate stage. They share many fabric technologies and style similarities, below are the differences.

Key differences between the two -

Pregnancy Leggings:

  • Designed to support your body throughout your entire pregnancy.
  • Features graduated compression to improve blood flow and circulation, which is essential for your baby's development (maternal blood flow to placenta feeds and nourishes your baby).
  • Flexible belly panel grows with your belly from the first to the third trimester (even with multiples!).

Postpartum Leggings:

  • Specifically designed to aid in postpartum recovery, particularly for diastasis recti and C-section healing.
  • Features targeted compression through the belly to support your abdominal muscles as they realign.
  • Provides comfort and support for C-section recovery, including avoiding seams near the incision.

Powered By Graduated Compression To Increase Blood Flow

TheRY leggings feature graduated compression, scientifically tested and medically graded at 15-20mmHg, to help increase blood flow and circulation.

Those who sit more than 4 hours day, circulation can be compromised. Poor blood flow can lead to blood pooling and heaviness and swelling in legs and feet plus other poor health outcomes.

TheRY graduated compression products have been assessed and are listed with the Australian Therapeutic Goods Association (TGA).

Postpartum You Are At Greater Risk Of Poor Circulation

In the first 6 weeks following birth you are 3-5X more likely to develop blood clots and postpartum varicose veins.

This is also due to the extra time recovering or sitting nursing your baby when movement is restricted.

About 30% of Babies Are Delivered by C-section

This is a major surgery where a cut is made through the abdominal wall and uterus.

While recovery is often cited at 4-6 weeks after surgery, 60% of women can still experience pain some 24 weeks after.

Following C-section surgery the abdominal muscles are even further weakened and in need of support. Compression can help support your abdomen during this time.
